The Prophecy Virtual Hackathon (“Contest”) is sponsored by SimpleDataLabs, Inc. dba Prophecy (“Sponsor”).
The Contest begins on April 20th and ends at 11:59 PM PT on May 11th (“Contest Period”). Submissions received outside this period will not be eligible.
Void where prohibited by law. Open to individuals who reside in the United States, United Kingdom, and India and are at least 18 years old at the time of entry. Employees of Sponsor and its affiliates, and their immediate family members, are not eligible. Participation is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Participants must submit their entry via the official submission form during the Contest Period.
Submission Requirements:
Limit: One (1) submission per person. Multiple submissions may result in disqualification.
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify submissions that are incomplete, use data that is not authorized for public sharing, or contain explicit content. Copying a submission from another participant will result in disqualification.
Eligible submissions will be evaluated by Sponsor based on announced judging criteria. Decisions of Sponsor are final and binding.
Judging criteria:
Winners will be announced on community.prophecy.ai by 9 am PST on May 18th.
Winners will also be notified via the contact information provided. If a winner cannot be contacted within 15 days, Sponsor may select an alternate winner.
No substitution or cash equivalent except at Sponsor’s discretion. Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes.
Participants retain ownership of their submissions. By entering, participants grant Sponsor a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and distribute submission materials (including videos, descriptions, and project outputs) for marketing, promotional, and business purposes.
Sponsor may publicly share and promote submissions, including participant name, likeness, company (if provided), and project materials.
Participant represents and warrants that:
Participant agrees Sponsor may scan submissions for malware, security risks, or prohibited content.
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant who violates these rules or attempts to manipulate the Contest.
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor and its affiliates from any claims arising out of participation in the Contest or acceptance or use of any prize. Entrants will defend Sponsor against any claim, demand, suit or proceeding made or brought against Sponsor by a third party alleging that any Entries infringes or misappropriates such third party’s intellectual property rights (a “Claim Against Sponsor”), and will indemnify Sponsor from any damages, attorney fees and costs finally awarded against Sponsor as a result of, or for amounts paid by Sponsor under a settlement of a Claim Against Sponsor.
By entering the Contest, participants consent to Sponsor collecting and using personal information (including name, contact details, and submission materials) to administer the Contest, communicate with entrants, award prizes, and promote the Contest and Sponsor’s services.
Information may be shared with affiliates, service providers, and judges solely for Contest administration and processed in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy: https://legal.prophecy.io/privacy
By participating, entrants consent to the transfer and processing of their information in the United States and other jurisdictions where Sponsor operates. Participants may exercise applicable privacy rights as described in the Privacy Policy.
These Rules are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in courts located in Delaware.
Winners shall be solely responsible for any taxes assessed on the prizes, and Prophecy shall not withhold taxes of any kind, or pay any taxes on behalf of a winner. Winners hereby agree to indemnify and hold Prophecy harmless for any tax liability that winner may incur due to the Prize(s).
